European Children´s Jury
The appointment of a European children’s jury is a speciality in the landscape of international festivals. This jury comprises 18 children of nine different European nationalities and serves as a practical example of unifying Europe. The films of the international children’s film competition are discussed and evaluated in the jury. The financial support of the Ministry for Science and Fine Arts of the Free State of Saxony has enabled the constitution of this jury. The jury members decide on the 5,000 Euro European Children’s Film Award, endowed by the Ministry for Science and Fine Arts of the Free State of Saxony and the “Diamond” for the most convincing acting performance of a child. It is a bicycle manufactured by Diamant Fahrradwerke GmbH Hartmannsdorf near Chemnitz.
