European Children´s Jury
The appointment of a European children’s jury is a speciality in the landscape of international festivals. This jury comprises 16 children of eight different European nationalities and serves as a practical example of unifying Europe. The films of the international children’s film competition are discussed and evaluated in the jury. The financial support of the Ministry for Science and Fine Arts of the Free State of Saxony has enabled the constitution of this jury.
The jury members award the 5,000 Euro European children’s film prize, endowed by the Ministry for Science and Fine Arts of the Free State of Saxony and the “Diamond” for the most convincing acting performance of a child. It is a bicycle manufactured by Diamant Fahrradwerke GmbH at Hartmannsdorf near Chemnitz.
